A Message From HuffPost To Our Readers In Virginia |
Monday, November 11, 2013 |
Hello from HuffPost Open Reporting - This is a one-time email to our readers in Virginia. Nearly a week after Virginia's election, the race for attorney general remains far too close to call. Democrat Mark Herring led Republican Mark Obenshain by less than 100 votes as of Monday. The results may now come down to several hundred provisional ballots cast in Fairfax County. A recent ruling from the Board of Elections means that voters may need to show up in person at a meeting to make sure their votes count. If you voted by provisional ballot, in Fairfax County or anywhere else, we want to hear from you. What were the circumstances? Are you concerned about whether your vote will be counted? Or, if you didn't vote at all, are you now wishing you had? Tell us your story. You can send us a note at openreporting@huffingtonpost.com, or just reply to this email. Please include your name, the city you live in, and a phone number if you're willing to speak with a reporter. Let us know if you want to remain anonymous. |
